Card Table Playhouse: Phase 3

...on to side four!

To make the windows, grass, and roof line repeat steps from phases 1 & 2.

To make the flowers, free hand a stencil for this five petal flower and tulip. Make two sides for each flower. Stitch an 1/8" seam around the edges of the tulip. For the five pedal flower attach the two pieces together by stitching a seam down the middle of each pedal. Add the small yellow circle to the middle by stitching an 1/8" seam around the edges.

To attach the flowers to the side lay out the flowers in the arrangement of choice, pin in place, and stitch a straight seam down the middle of each flower back stitching at each end.

Now you're ready to attach the sides to each other! To start lay the front side, side up, on your work space. Place one of your window sides face down on top of the front side. Pin all the way down the left side.

Draw a line 1" from the left side, stitch a seam along the line. To add the next side lay out the window side face up on the work space allowing the front side to fall open to the right. Place the back side face down on top of the window side. Repeat previous step for stitching. Once you have the back on place it on the work surface face up allowing the other two sides to fall open to the right. Place the other window side face down on top of the back side. Pin and stitch repeating the previous step. Finally match up the remaining two sides and repeat previous steps.

To attach the top keep the house inside out. Lay the front side face up on the work space allowing the two window sides to fall to the sides. Take the piece you have already cut for the roof and line it up with the top edge of the front piece. Pin it in place and stitch a 1" seam across the top. For the following sides repeat previous step. Turn it right side out and viola! You're very own playhouse!

Wish I could see the look on the lucky little one's face when they see this!
