Valentine's Day Inspired Onsie

Valentine's is just days away but there's still time to make this sweet baby onsie!
All you need to make it is a plain onsie (I bought this one at Walmart for $3, I like the sweet ruffled sleeves), a yard of prepleaded ribbon (got mine from JoAnn's for $1.87), a pair of scissors, and a sewing machine.

Cut all the way down both sides of the onsie, remove salvage piece.

Lay ribbon across the back side and cut. Allow 1/4" to 1/2" extra ribbon to hang off each side. Repeat for two additional ribbon pieces.

Zig zag stitch the ribbon in place.

Add second layer and repeat previous steps. Do the same for the third layer.

Pin sides back together and stitch. Repeat for additional side.

Don't forget the step where you teach all that you know to your little apprentice.

To add the flower coil up the remaining ribbon piece into desired floral look. Pin in place.

Machine stitch.

All that's left is to find a sweet little girl to put it on!
